Time to Get Mooned

Welcome to the Below Navel blog - the 303 Freq where it is all about love and good vibrations!
I think it is important to examine bias, especially my own, and I find myself on this first New Moon wishing it were a Full Moon. Why? Because I love to see with my naked eye the full illumination of the moon at its energetic peak! I know Buddha, be careful of wishful thinking, but come on a full moon can spellbind me with its absolute brilliance. Big, bold, beautiful, and ridiculously radiant. What can I say, I am visually biased in that way.
Now just because I prefer the cycle of the moon that drops its drawers and shines a light on me, does not mean I do not take the powerful meaning of the new moon seriously. The new moon is a time to close your eyes so you may see and ask yourself what is hidden within? Flip off the external light to flip on the one within. To acknowledge the unseen and often more subconscious aspects of self; especially regarding hidden emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and desires. To journey inward towards that which has not seen the light to uncover false assumptions, deep-seated fears, unresolved conflicts, or even forgotten dreams. To stop hiding from oneself and to self-actualize. It is important to discover what is hidden and reeks and does not serve your most authentic self so you can let go. Why? So that you can follow your natural scent, find your own divinity, and illuminate your full expression of self. Healthily and unapologetically.
Now there is always a new moon. Every month, like clockwork, it comes before the full moon. It is the first phase of the lunar cycle. The first phase or the “new” phase of the cycle is not illuminated. With a lack of visual interest, it does not seduce your attention so it can easily be overlooked, ignored, even forgotten. That does not mean it does not hold value. The value is rooted in what lies beyond what the human eye can see.
The new moon, although shrouded in darkness and mystery, is all about death, rebirth, and possibility. A symbol of transformation and continuous opportunity to become more aware and aligned with the rhythms and patterns in your heart, mind, body, and spirit. New moons are often associated with optimism, abundance, positivity, and joy. Emotions seated in the Sacral chakra within. The new moon and the sacral chakra are a powerful combination of energy to assist with healing, releasing toxic emotions, and creating with the intention to raise your vibration and to full illumination. A cycle of self-renewal in flow with nature’s cycles. A repetitive cycle of creating and letting go. The problem is, we do not always want to let go. I know Buddha, attachment is the root of suffering (insert eye roll), but first I am going to feel my feelings and then I will rub your belly.
So, considering my “wishful thinking” for a full moon, shall I scream into the darkness of the night “Bare yourself to me so I shall see your full glory!” as I stand in protest of that which remains hidden despite my visual displeasure? No, my neighbors may not appreciate that. Rather, I will go outside and look up and acknowledge the beautifully veiled soul of the moon and give myself the friendly reminder that at certain times it can be the hidden flower that is most fragrant.
